A few more details

Google Calendar integration FAQs.

Have a specific workflow in mind?

Talk it through with us
Does Trillet connect to my existing Google Calendar?

Yes. Connect an authorised Google account in the agent, select the destination calendar and enable the appointment actions you need. The account must have permission to edit that calendar.

Can the AI receptionist book appointments during calls?

Yes. With Check availability and Book an appointment enabled, the agent can find available times and create an event in the selected calendar. It collects the attendee name and email to complete the booking.

How does it avoid double bookings?

The agent checks availability before offering a time. Availability may change before the booking action finishes, so it should confirm an appointment only after the calendar reports a successful booking.

Can someone reschedule or cancel by phone?

Yes, when the Reschedule and Cancel actions are enabled. The agent uses the original appointment date or time and attendee details to identify the event, confirms the change and checks the result.

Which calendar does the agent use?

Each agent has its own Google connection and uses the calendar selected under Select Calendar. Check the selection even if the system initially chooses a calendar for you.

What if the agent has access to view but not edit the calendar?

Viewing a calendar does not guarantee that appointment creation will work. Use a Google account with edit permission, then make a test booking and verify the resulting event.

Can I set the appointment duration and timezone?

Yes. Configure Slot Duration (minutes) and Agent Location (Timezone) in the integration settings, then verify the event time and duration in a test booking.

Can it write custom fields into the event?

The native booking action supports its documented event inputs, but does not provide arbitrary custom event-field mapping. Discuss a specific workflow with Trillet before relying on additional fields.

Do I need to replace my business number?

Not necessarily. You can arrange to forward calls from your existing number, subject to your carrier and setup. Test the intended call route before launch.

Is the integration suitable for regulated appointment workflows?

Suitability depends on the data, deployment configuration, agreements and connected Google environment. A calendar connection by itself does not establish regulatory compliance. Discuss the requirements with Trillet before use.
