Trillet AI receptionist for dental practices
Turn missed calls into booked appointments
Help your front desk handle patient enquiries and appointment requests through a healthcare deployment scoped to your practice. HIPAA-covered calls require an eligible Agency or Enterprise plan, an executed BAA and a covered Order Form.
The $49 self-serve plan is for non-PHI calls only. Clinical triage and emergency response are not included.
Why voicemail loses new patients
A dental front desk is interrupted by design. Someone is being seated, an impression is being taken, a payer has you on hold. Some callers reach voicemail and may call another practice, while others leave a message or call back. The practice needs a reliable way to review the enquiries it misses.
A missed call is a chance to follow up, not proof of a lost booking.

01
New-patient calls, captured in full
A new-patient call can arrive while the front desk is seating someone. In a contracted patient workflow, Trillet can collect approved intake details and offer a supported calendar slot. Your team should confirm clinical details and the appointment rules before relying on the booking.

Hi, I chipped a tooth over the weekend and I have not been to your practice before.
AI agent
I can help request an appointment. I cannot assess an injury, but I can take your name and a safe callback number for the practice.

Booked, moved and cancelled on the call
In a contracted patient workflow, Trillet can use an approved connected calendar to offer or change a slot when permissions and booking rules allow. Staff should confirm clinical suitability and any practice-management record. SMS confirmation is optional, separately billed and subject to the agreed workflow and consent.

After-hours calls with a clear human path
A patient may call after hours about pain or an injury. The agent must not decide whether the condition is safe to wait. A contracted workflow can give practice-approved, locally appropriate emergency instructions and request monitored human follow-up; clinical triage requires expressly signed regulated scope.

Routine questions off the front desk
Opening hours, where to park, which plans you accept, whether you are taking new patients. Trillet can repeat approved public information. Individual insurance or coverage questions need staff review; collecting patient details requires the contracted patient workflow, not the $49 self-serve plan.

Do you take my health fund, and how much would a check-up be with the rebate?
AI agent
I can confirm the funds we accept. For what your specific cover pays I will take your details and pass this to the practice so they can check it properly and come back to you.

Cancellations captured, slots freed immediately
When a patient rings to cancel in a contracted workflow, Trillet can record the request and update a supported calendar where the approved integration and permissions allow. The practice should confirm any clinical or practice-management record and decide how to offer the open slot.

Frequently asked questions
It is voice AI that can support approved patient intake and calendar booking in a contracted healthcare deployment. Calls containing HIPAA-covered patient information require an eligible Agency or Enterprise plan, an executed BAA and an Order Form covering the workflow. The $49 self-serve receptionist is only for non-PHI calls; it is not an emergency or clinical-triage service.
The self-serve product can book against a supported calendar, Google Calendar, Cal.com (which can cover Outlook), or GoHighLevel Calendar, but is not authorized for patient-PHI calls and does not write into a practice-management system by default. For a contracted healthcare deployment, ask Trillet to scope the permitted patient workflow and any Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental integration.
The standard receptionist does not diagnose or triage a dental emergency. A patient-facing deployment should give locally appropriate, practice-approved emergency instructions and a monitored human path. Clinical triage or emergency response is only in scope if expressly agreed in a signed regulated deployment with appropriate safeguards.
No. In an approved deployment, Trillet can support routine call intake and booking when your team is busy or closed, subject to carrier routing and service availability. Your staff remain responsible for clinical questions, exceptions, follow-up and patient safety.
It can repeat approved public information such as hours, location and plans the practice accepts. It should not determine a patient's individual coverage or quote a benefit. Collecting patient details or insurance information requires the eligible contracted workflow; a person should verify coverage and handle exceptions.
The $49/month self-serve receptionist includes 150 inbound voice minutes, then $0.20 per extra minute, for non-PHI use only. Patient-PHI intake needs an eligible Agency or Enterprise plan, an executed BAA and a covered Order Form; request a deployment quote. The BAA has no incremental fee on eligible tiers, but those plans and any scoped implementation have their own costs.
A non-PHI website-based agent draft can take about five minutes. A patient-facing deployment also needs the signed scope, knowledge review, approved call routing, integration setup, staff handoff and real-phone tests; do not forward patient calls to the $49 self-serve plan.
Trillet can support a HIPAA-covered workflow only after an eligible Agency or Enterprise arrangement, executed Business Associate Agreement and applicable Order Form identify that workflow. The $49 self-serve plan is not authorized for PHI. The BAA has no incremental fee on eligible tiers, but the plan and deployment are separately priced. SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 do not replace the BAA or make every configuration compliant.
