A portal domain or its branding is incorrect

Check portal and email subdomains, DNS records, verification status, signup errors, and agency or client branding.

Reviewed

Work through these if your portal domain, sending email domain, or branding isn't showing correctly.

Use separate subdomains

Use a different subdomain for your portal (for example app.yourdomain.com) than for your sending email domain (for example mail.yourdomain.com). The two can't share the same host.

Verify the domain

  1. In the sidebar, click Agency, then open Domains & Email.
  2. For an existing domain, click View setup on its card. If no domain is connected yet, click Set up portal domain or Set up email domain and follow the setup.
  3. Compare every displayed record with your DNS provider and add or correct any missing or mismatched records. Copy the exact type, host, and value shown.
  4. The status updates automatically. In View setup, click Recheck after adding or changing a record if you do not want to wait.
  5. If a domain shows verified but the portal returns a "not found" or deployment error, compare every record again — a single missing record can cause this even when the others are correct.

If a signup page shows a domain error

If a client's signup page shows an error naming your domain (for example, about the security check on the page), this is something to report to support rather than something to fix in your own DNS or third-party console — it isn't caused by your DNS setup.

Branding not appearing

  • Company name, logo, colours and the login page are set under your agency's branding, and for an individual client under that client's own branding tab and switch.
  • Setting a company name removes the default platform attribution from texted links.
